Happy New Year!
I can't believe that it is already 2008, the year that Tim & I are going to "tie the knot"! Yikes, there's SO much to do, it's so easy to get overwhelmed. It's a new year, a new chance to get things right and start fresh with a clean slate. That's especially exciting, as I am STILL looking for the right job. I am confident that everything will turn out, just the way it is meant to, and things will fall into place.
We spent New Year's Eve at an old Louisiana-style hotel here in San Diego called The Lafayette where some of our long-time friends were DJing...Lisa (Skutech), Sonya (Red Sonya), and her boyfriend Tom (Alien Tom). What a better way to bring in the new year than to spend it with those friends you love? Tim & I shared a hotel room with our BFFs Becky & Lisa and Becky's sister Michelle. Some other buddies of ours dropped by too, George (Lisa's boyfriend) couldn't stop spilling on himself, dear Jon, and Eric and his new girl. From what I can remember (there was some heavy drinking going on!) there was lots of laughter and a little bit of sentimental tears. And the next day, I swore I'd never drink again from the size of my hangover headache! LOL! That lasted about a week I think.
I don't believe in Resolutions because I think that sets us up for defeat, but I do believe in setting goals. Here's a few of mine for 2008:
Have the wedding of my dreams without going into debt
Start towards getting an Interior Design degree
Save more money

Spend quality time with friends
Buy a condo/house
Continue to grow closer and strengthen my relationship with Tim

The house/condo bit sounds great...so long as you have a room there I can crash in when I am on your side of the planet!
